Thank you. A little more information will help us understand you better.

At Littlegig we take pride in attracting a crowd of diverse origins, ages, stages and orientations. We welcome all types, but ‘the mix’ is important to us. You don’t need to be a writer to attend, but you do need a desire to engage in a programme of talks and sessions to do with writing and/or affairs of the African continent. We take great care in putting together a world-class lineup of speakers, authors and facilitators, and a compelling programme. You do not need to produce any work, but should you wish to, we have expertly-led writing workshops and master classes which form an important part of our programme.

There will also be a small and special music line-up in ’23, and sunset gatherings in wondrous locations. But with only 50 attendees, Littlegig Lamu is not a music festival. Please do not apply if you have no interest in the rest of the programme!

While we will only be announcing the retreat price on 1 December, we estimate it will be around around 3,000USD which will include all workshops, music performances, and evening events (which may but won’t always include food). Not included are your accommodation, additional food and flights.
