Bringing artists and audiences together is why Littlegig started almost a decade ago. What fun it has been to resurrect ourselves as a platform for some of our favourite performers.

RUBEN HAZELZET
Ruben is a Dutch pianist and composer of neo-classical, minimalistic music. His inspirations are Nils Frahm, Joep Beving, Hauschka en Olafur Arnolds
ALESSANDRO GIGLI
Alessandro is a flute player, composer and improviser from Florence, Italy. He is active in classical, jazz and improvised music and has performed widely throughout Europe, Africa and Asia. Gigli holds degrees in Classical flute and Musicology with studies in Cinema Composition from the Cherubini Conservatory in Florence and University of Florence.
MILA SMITH
Mila is a 17-year old singer-songwriter from Cape Town, signed to Platoon, a music company owned by Apple Inc. Her first pop anthem ‘Liars and Fakes’, released in 2021, reached number 1 on the 5fm SA Top 10 charts, with its Tensnake Remix garnering over 233 000 streams. Her ballad ‘Reassemble Myself’ followed, and she currently has songs in progress with SA producer and songwriter Sun-El Musician. Accompanying her Littlegig performance are singer/songwriter Jabulile Majola and Dolf Willemse.
JEMMA KAHN
Theatre and film maker Jemma Kahn studied Fine Art and Drama at Wits University. She then spent two years in Japan which strongly impacted work. Her primary theatre focus is Japanese kamishibai or ‘paper theatre’, a 12th Century highly visual storytelling medium. She has performed her shows at Edinburgh Fringe, Brighton Festival, Venice Biennale as well as in Holland and Australia. In 2018 Kahn was awarded the prestigious Standard Bank Young Artist Award for Theatre. At Littlegig she will be performing work never seen before.
THE HARMONIOUS FOUR
The Harmonious Four is a male traditional music choral group put together by bass baritone singer Bulelani Madondile, who has been leading choirs in Gugulethu for over ten years. Bulelani has performed a number of works around the world for both William Kentridge and composer Philip Miller. He is joined by tenors Jongile Rolomane and Jabu Gqola, and bass baritone Silas Mcoseli.
MARC ALGRANTI
Marc is a multi-award winning music producer / supervisor. He studied sound engineering in London and worked for over a decade in New York before returning to Cape Town where he is an executive music producer, who finds or commissions music for advertising campaigns. Marc has been DJ’ing around the world since the early days of house music.
